Forrest Music Parent
Organization is to promote
solidarity among parents, band
members, school and community by
supporting all music programs
(marching band, concert band,
jazz band, chorus, and color and
winter guard) both morally and
financially through active
participation and fundraising.
It is also our goal to build and
maintain an organization which
will help promote the general
activities of the music
department and to transact any
and all other business for the
program. The MPO believes that
music education is fundamental
in the education of our
children. Music education offers
unique learning opportunities
that develop life skills,
explore and enhance individual
creativity and self-expression,
and foster an understanding of
past and present cultures in a
diverse world community which
culminates in a life-long
appreciation and enjoyment of
